Wildflower Education — CEO and Founder



Ken Beitel is the CEO and Founder of WildFlower Education, an innovative Colorado startup dedicated to enhancing engagement and academic performance in college classrooms while empowering students to live an outstanding college life. With more than 20 years of software architecture experience, accomplishments include the co-design of an interactive classroom for training C-5 cargo plane Air Force flight crews along with Learning Management Systems deployed at more than 50 US Air National Guard bases.

Ken is proud of the team he’s assembled at WildFlower Education including higher education specialists and 5+ software engineer interns who are also CU computer science and applied math students. Beitel believes that, “Every startup success is the result of a supportive community” and is deeply grateful for the CU ecosystem.

WildFlower Education learned an immense amount participating in the 2022 New Venture Challenge and CU Venture Partners Research-to-Market (R2M) programs. With the help of the CU and Boulder communities, in less than 9 months from idea conception, WildFlower Education now has more than 20 university and college classroom technology pilots complete or underway with 7 universities including CU Boulder and Denver and Metro State in Colorado, along with universities in Illinois, Florida, Texas and Utah. This fall, WildFlower is also launching a $500k pre-seed round to back a January 2023 wide scale launch benefiting thousands of professors and students.
