The changing dynamics of the information industries promises to keep businesses on their toes, technologists pushing the envelope, and lawyers very busy for the years to come. The digital transition and the convergence of the different segments of the information industries is entering its final stages, with dramatic changes for the telecommunications providers, the consumer electronics and computer industries, as well as the content providers. This conference is aimed at understanding some of the critical “challenges of convergence” and anticipating the likely responses to them.
After panel discussions on “The Future of The Network” and “The Applications of the Future,” we will hear from the FCC’s Chief of Staff, Marsha McBride, who will address how the FCC is viewing the telecom shakeout and digital transition.
