John Levisay, Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Craftsy
John is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Craftsy. He has overseen Craftsy’s growth from four employees to over 200 employees in just seven years. Craftsy raised over $100M in venture capital and went from an idea on how to change education to a fast-growing media, ecommerce, and technology company. Prior to founding Craftsy, John worked for eBay as head of Strategy & Business Development for eBay Motors. John later ran the Business, Photo, and Music categories on eBay and served as Chief Executive Officer of Kruse International. John also worked at ServiceMagic, now Home Adviser, and was instrumental in the creation and implementation of a marketplace strategy for home service professionals that helped set the stage for the growth that resulted in the eventual merger with Angie’s List and recent IPO. John received his MBA from The University of Michigan and his BA from Colgate University, where he double-majored in History and English.
