This presentation will provide attendees with an overview of elements they should be prepared to address in building a marketing strategy and some suggestions on where to start.

The course will cover:Speaker

 

  • the breadth of marketing activities: marketing is much more than advertising and press releases
  • an overview of marketing strategy: segmentation, targeting and positioning (i.e., being very clear about what are you selling, to whom, and why it is that what you are selling is better than what you can get somewhere else)
  • marketing tactics (product, place, price and promotion)
  • actionable advice on how to support marketing efforts through the use of mini case examples, drawn from both proven successes like facebook and godaddy as well as earlier stage ventures
