The CU New Venture Challenge, now in its second year, is an entrepreneurial launch pad. This year’s CU NVC events kick off with a Crash Course presented by Paul Berberian, who from 6:00-7:00 p.m. will discuss “How to Pick a Business Worth Starting.” A “Start-up Internships” networking event will immediately follow the presentation from 7:00-8:00 p.m. This will feature local start-ups seeking to meet CU students for internship opportunities and other connections. These events are open to CU students, faculty and the general public.

The CU NVC is an experiential learning opportunity for individuals to get involved in entrepreneurship. The CU NVC helps answer the question “I’m interested in entrepreneurship, but where do I start?” through a series of workshops, crash courses, and mentorship opportunities. The CU NVC assists with the development of new ventures and culminates with a March 2010 competition. The CU NVC is presented by entrepreneurship centers and programs across campus, including the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, Silicon Flatirons Center, eShip, ATLAS, Technology Transfer Office, and the Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program.
