Artificial Intelligence Roundtable

Tags: Entrepreneurship / Law Innovation

Silicon Flatirons will convene a roundtable discussion that aims to connect and stimulate conversations between area thought leaders in the realm of artificial intelligence.

Roundtable participants will be capped at 35, with a mix of entrepreneurs, technologists, investors, and academics involved. While this event is invitation only, if you know someone who is closely involved in AI-related research or entrepreneurship, please reach out to Brad Bernthal if you wish to suggest an additional participant.

Three broad areas will be presented, with group discussion to follow. First, Dave Jilk and Seth Herd of eCortex will address the safety aspects of artificial general intelligence. Second, Kyle Nesbit of Gradient Ventures at Google will discuss identifying a variety of AI-related opportunities on the horizon. His discussion will address issues of data collection, data curation, and expectations surrounding AI. Third, ethical considerations involving AI-related products and services will be addressed. Harry Surden with the University of Colorado Law School and Silicon Flatirons will kick start this conversation. Brad Bernthal, also with Colorado Law and Silicon Flatirons, will help moderate the discussion.

A special thanks to Google for providing space and breakfast for the discussion and to BEN Colorado for co-sponsoring this event with Silicon Flatirons.

Please RSVP by August 20 so that we have an accurate participant count and we hope that you will join us.
