Congratulations to John Schoppert, winner of the Silicon Flatirons Student Writing Competition, for his paper “The Need to Regulate DMCA-Plus Agreements: An Expansion of Sag’s Internet Safe Harbors and the Transformation of Copyright Law.”
Each year, Silicon Flatirons accepts submissions of student papers written on a topic involving technology law and policy, antitrust, law and economics, intellectual property, entrepreneurship, privacy, telecommunications, or related areas. The competition promotes and encourages student development through the research, planning, organization, writing, and editing of scholarly papers in this field.
WilmerHale, the competition’s sponsor, judged the papers and awarded John $1000 in prize money at an event on November 14th, 2018.
