Kristelia García, Silicon Flatirons’ Content Initiative Director, authored an article in the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology about royalty securitization. The article, published October 23, 2017, examines how advances in technology, in particular streaming of music, have made securitization of copyright royalties more appealing investments. She highlights the announcement from a new venture that plans to acquire royalty interests in various media assets, and to disburse dividends to their shareholders based on royalties collected from those assets as example.
