Congratulations to Student Competition Winners!

Sixty students from across campus participated in a competition on February 10, 2018, designed to simulate a case with real-world ethical problems. Silicon Flatirons hosts the competition with the Daniels Fund Ethics Initiative at Colorado Law. The Interdisciplinary Ethics Tech Competition teams tackled the legal, ethical, technical, and business dimensions of a nuanced case problem concerning “fake news” and an online platform’s attempts to deal with and verify certain types of content.

Congratulations to the winning Interdisciplinary Ethics Tech Competition teams:

1st Place: Nick Blodgett (law), Chris Bopp (information science), Colette Crouse (business), and Therese Fox (law).

2nd Place: Andrew Fischer (law), Emely Garcia (law), Andi Savage (law), and David Smith (business).

3rd Place: Elliott Browning (law), Slate Herman (law), Dillon Slagle (law), and Abhishek Varkhedi (ITP).
