Hatfield Scholars Program
The Hatfield Scholars Program, established in 2006, encourages student interest in public service by providing grants for summer internships in government or public interest positions. The Program honors and promotes the values that Dale Hatfield has embodied during his distinguished career, which has taken him from the Federal Communications Commission and U.S. Department of Commerce to his professorship at the University of Colorado and leadership role at Silicon Flatirons. Graduates of the program gain an exceptional experience through their internships, which otherwise may not have been achieved without the scholarship. The program runs in parallel to the DC Summer Program.
DC Summer Program
The DC Summer Program places students in technology-focused private and public organizations and government agencies in Washington, D.C. for internships. Participating organizations include the Federal Communications Commission, Federal Trade Commission, National Emergency Number Association, Information Technology and Innovation Foundation, Public Knowledge, Common Cause, Verizon, AT&T, and Disney.
Additional Internship Opportunities
Beyond the programs offered above, Silicon Flatirons will help connect you to other opportunities that might be a better fit for your interests. Calling upon our relationships with many companies and firms in Colorado and beyond, we help connect students to internships in-house at technology companies, in private practice at firms, and in public service and policy at governmental agencies.
