As Co-founder and CEO of Optera, Tim Weiss is at the forefront of climate tech, empowering the world’s largest businesses to measure, manage, and reduce emissions across their complex value chains. A recognized leader in corporate sustainability, Tim has been instrumental in shaping how companies in sectors like electronics, retail, manufacturing, and industrials are decarbonizing their supply chains, products, and operations. His journey began with scaling renewable energy in Sub-Saharan Africa at Elephant Energy, followed by work in utility-scale renewables at AES Distributed Energy, and supporting impact-driven startups at the Unreasonable Institute (now Uncharted). Tim holds an MBA from the University of Colorado Boulder and a BA in Environmental Policy from Colorado College.
