Tim is a Senior Distinguished Engineer within Medtronic’s Structural Heart R&D organization and possesses degrees in mechanical engineering and applied mathematics. He provides technical guidance and leadership across Medtronic’s structural heart portfolio, facilitates pan-Medtronic engineering collaborations, and represents Medtronic Structural Heart R&D in external technical engagements. Tim has been a researcher and engineer in the implantable medical device industry for thirty years, primarily in the cardiovascular area with a focus on surgical and transcatheter heart valve therapies. He has contributed to the development of multiple heart valve therapies that have positively impacted the lives of patients across the globe. He is actively engaged and passionate about driving the development of heart valve therapies for underserved patient populations. In 2020, Tim was inducted into the Medtronic Bakken Society, Medtronic’s highest technical honor, in recognition of his multiple significant contributions to Medtronic’s technical and scientific progress, his technical leadership, and his numerous impactful contributions to the heart valve industry.
