Shawn is the Senior Director of Public Policy for Verizon, managing the company’s federal policy engagement. Prior to Verizon, Shawn spent nearly a decade as one of the principal policy counsels for the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, handling telecommunications, technology, and media policy issues. He began his career at the DC law firm Wiley Rein representing communications and media clients in policy debates in Congress, at the FCC, and before other Executive Branch agencies and departments.
