Rob Frieden serves as an educator, researcher, grant seeker and consultant in the law, regulation and business of broadband networks, cybersecurity, electronic commerce, privacy, space commerce, satellites, and international telecommunications. He holds the rank of Academy and Emeritus Professor of Telecommunications and Law at Penn State University. Professor Frieden’s published work includes 4 books, dozens of book chapters, and over 100 articles in law reviews and academic journals. In 2021-2022 he served as a Fellow at the Wilson Center in Washington, D.C. Professor Frieden frequently makes pro-bono contributions including court briefs, filings in regulatory agency proceedings, and participating in forums organized by the International Telecommunication Union, United Nations, The World Bank, and universities.
