Kimberly Baum currently works for Astranis as Head of Regulatory. Her role includes maintaining the spectrum rights for the company’s satellite fleet, defining and executing spectrum strategy domestically and around the world, and acquiring new spectrum rights. Prior to joining Astranis, Ms. Baum held regulatory/spectrum positions at the FCC, SES, Motorola and OneWeb. In 2024, Ms. Baum was appointed by the FCC as Vice-Chair of the FCC’s WRC-27 Advisory Committee. Ms. Baum earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees in Electrical Engineering from Virginia Tech and George Washington University, respectively.
