Katherine cultivates relationships with the center’s diverse portfolio of supporters to advance its mission to catalyze policymaking and innovation and to develop the next generation of tech lawyers, policy experts, and entrepreneurs. In collaboration with the Silicon Flatirons team and CU Advancement, Katherine further supports development via implementation of donor stewardship polices and strategies for corporations, small businesses, individuals, foundations, and law firms, across multiple industries and sectors; grant writing and management; and fundraising campaigns.
In tandem with development efforts, Katherine manages general outreach and communications for the center. She strategizes and executes communications plans, marketing campaigns, and media relations to expand the center’s reach across campus and to the public.
Katherine previously worked for The American Heart Association, where she fundraised for the annual Denver Heart & Stroke Walk and Denver CycleNation campaigns. Prior to moving to Denver, Katherine received her MA in Peace and Justice Studies from the University of San Diego and her BA in History from Creighton University. She is happy to call Colorado home with her fiancé, Jack and cat, Beau.
