Katherine Hawley is a Professor of Philosophy at the University of St Andrews in Scotland. She is the author of Trust: a Very Short Introduction (2012), and How To Be Trustworthy (2019), both published by Oxford University Press, alongside many articles on trust, distrust, knowledge, social ontology, and impostor syndrome. She is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Edinburgh and the British Academy.
