Dr. Jason Adaska is the founder and current Director of the Holland & Hart Innovation Lab. He is also the Chief Technology Officer of the firm’s subsidiary, Juris Futura, which provides software and consulting services for law firms, legal departments, and legal-tech startups. He has led the design and execution of the firm’s technology innovation initiatives, including the development of custom software applications and automation for patent and trademark prosecution and related IP workflows. Jason is an active member in the growing community of legal technology innovators, with a particular focus on the application of natural language processing (NLP) to the legal profession.

He serves on the advisory board of Silicon Flatirons, where he organizes and moderates the Legal Tech Roundtable and participates in their Artificial Intelligence Initiative. He is an active member of the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC) and American Intellectual Property Law Association (AIPLA). In 2021, Jason was a Fastcase 50 award winner, which honors “the law’s smartest and most courageous innovators.” Prior to joining Holland & Hart in 2015, Dr. Adaska worked in the defense sector, leading multiple, large R&D efforts. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from Cornell University, and a master’s and doctorate in Applied Mathematics from Harvard University.
