Duane Pozza is a Partner at Wiley, advising on legal and regulatory issues involving emerging technology, including financial technology (fintech), artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things, mobile payments, and blockchain. His expertise include privacy and data governance, advertising law, competition matters, and consumer financial laws and regulations. He has testified before Congress on big data and privacy laws and regularly writes and speaks on AI regulatory approaches. Prior to joining Wiley, Duane was an Assistant Director at the Federal Trade Commission, where he led consumer protection efforts in fintech and worked extensively on issues involving tech platforms. He graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and Stanford Law School.
