Dr. Jordan Gerth is the chair of the American Meteorological Society Committee on Radio Frequency Allocations, which coordinates a continual science-based and enterprise-driven response to new spectrum allocation and sharing proposals. With 15 years developing expertise in passive remote sensing science, Jordan is an honorary fellow at the University of Wisconsin–Madison Space Science and Engineering Center, and a longstanding member of the AMS Committee on Satellite Meteorology, Oceanography, and Climatology. He is also a physical scientist and leveraged observations lead at the NOAA National Weather Service Office of Observations, where he serves as an agency subject-matter expert for the scientific and operational applications of satellite imagery and products.
