Camilo Lopez is the Co-founder and CEO of KindredPals, a Boulder-based startup dedicated to improving the lives of older adults through AI-powered companionship. In his role, Camilo sets the vision and strategic roadmap for the company, focused on combating loneliness and cognitive decline among seniors to help them live independently and with greater emotional well-being.
Camilo first moved to Boulder in the early 2000s for his first job as a physicist, where he developed advanced laser systems and played a key role in installing the first solid-state guidestar laser on Mauna Kea, Hawaii—an important milestone in adaptive optics for astronomical observation.
With over 20 years of experience in product innovation and technology leadership, Camilo has built and scaled solutions for small and large enterprises. Prior to founding KindredPals, he led product development and commercialization efforts at Samsung Research America, where he brought cutting-edge solutions to millions of users worldwide.
Camilo is passionate about building companies that make a lasting, meaningful impact. At KindredPals, he’s combining deep empathy with emerging technologies to address some of the most pressing challenges facing aging populations today.
