Alexandra Robinson is an internationally recognized leader in AI governance, AI cybersecurity, and technology risk management, specializing in technology deployment in high-risk contexts. Named one of the 100 Brilliant Women in AI Ethics (2024), Alexandra has shaped enterprise AI strategies that align innovation with ethics, security, and public trust. As the newly appointed Director of AI Governance at Slalom, Alexandra most recently served as an AI Strategy Leader at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, directing cross-functional strategic planning to allocate and invest $1 billion in technology to integrate AI into national security operations. Alexandra has advised global organizations, including GitHub, Mercy Corps, Omidyar Group philanthropies, and early-stage tech startups, on developing responsible AI frameworks, curricula, and risk assessments adopted in 40 countries. She started her career in Nepal building digital forensic systems to counter human trafficking, and has since scaled digital and AI investments to support Ebola recovery in West Africa, combat human trafficking in the Thai seafood industry, and provide emergency assistance in fragile states.
