Federico Peña is a Senior Advisor at the Colorado Impact Fund, which invests in companies having a positive impact in Colorado. Peña previously practiced law, served in the Colorado State House of Representatives, served as Denver’s Mayor, founded an investment advisory firm, and served in two cabinet positions in the Clinton Administration as Secretary of the Department of Energy and Secretary of the Department of Transportation. He is a former Managing Director of Vestar Capital Partners.
Peña has four children, and he and his wife Cindy live in Denver. He has served on the boards of several public companies and non-profit associations. Peña was a National Co-Chair of Obama for America 2012. He held the same role in 2008 and was a national board member of the Obama-Biden Transition.
