Eliza is an Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She received her Ph.D. in Economics from MIT in 2014. Her research connects personnel economics to macroeconomic issues and uses big data to examine how technology is changing job requirements, wages, and employment. Her other research includes the effect of firm hiring behavior during recessions and job mobility over careers.
