AT&T — Director of Global Public Policy



Lisl develops AT&T’s policy positions on privacy, artificial intelligence, online safety, and human rights.

Lisl previously served as Policy Director and as a facilitator for the Telecommunications Industry Dialogue at the Global Network Initiative, an international multi-stakeholder initiative that seeks to protect and advance freedom of expression and privacy in the ICT sector. Prior to this, she was a staff attorney at the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights, where she worked on cases dealing with counterterrorism and the protection of journalists, as well as projects to define Inter-American standards on freedom of expression and the internet.

Lisl is a member of the Freedom Online Coalition’s Advisory Network and the OECD Privacy Guidelines Expert Group.  She has also taught a Human Rights Practicum at Georgetown University Law Center, and her publications include ‘Digital Communications and the Evolving Right to Privacy’ in New Technologies for Human Rights Law and Practice from Cambridge University Press.
