Richard is the founder of the GLIAnet Project, which seeks to build a new web ecosystem based on trustworthy digital intermediaries and personal AIs. An experienced corporate strategist and technology policy attorney, Richard currently serves as a fellow in residence with the Mozilla Foundation and as a senior fellow with the Georgetown Institute for Technology, Law, and Policy. He is an eleven-year veteran of Google (2007-2018), where most recently he served as Google’s corporate director for strategic initiatives.
