Bergman is a senior executive at Advance where her mission is to seek, identify and invest in companies that help diversify and grow the Advance portfolio. Having spent the majority of her career cultivating growth and innovation in technology, Bergman is able to recognize, facilitate and leverage the conditions necessary to create long-term value for her company and those they have invested in.
Previously Bergman was the president of Bright House Networks, a respected and admired cable telecommunications company with 8,500 employees, 2.5 million customers, and more than $4B in annual revenue. As one of the original founders, Bergman helped build and lead the company with a hyper focus on award winning customer care and innovative technology. This enabled the company to reach a pinnacle of the sixth largest US cable operator with a market cap of almost $12B at the time of the sale in one of the largest telecom acquisitions in US history.
Bergman’s rich diversity of experiences adds value and perspective to her role as an actively involved board member. Bergman presently sits on the corporate board of publicly held Comcast Corporation and Visteon, privately held Black & Veatch, along with Advance Portfolio investments of Astra Space, Hawkeye360 and Advance owned 1010data. As a board member at the University of Rochester, she remains closely connected to her alma mater. She continues to provide service on the Technical Advisory Committee at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).
Bergman cherishes being a wife to her husband Neal and a mother to her three daughters Rebecca, Dori and Allie. Bergman is an avid skier and also enjoys running, swimming, cycling and hiking. Like so many women, Bergman built her career while building her family. Therefore, she makes the most of every opportunity to create amazing outdoor adventures together with her family.
