Futurist and Author
Karl is an award-winning science fiction writer and futurist. His ten novels have been translated into a dozen languages. He pioneered a new mode of writing that blends fiction and rigorous futures research—his influential short novels Crisis in Zefra (2005) and Crisis in Urlia (2011) are innovative ‘scenario fictions’ commissioned by the Canadian army as study and research tools. Karl has a Master’s degree in Strategic Foresight and Innovation, and consults and speaks about the future. He lives in Toronto, Canada with his wife and daughter.
