Annie is the Chief Legal Officer for the Colorado Regional Health Information Organization (CORHIO). In this role, she ensures CORHIO’s compliance with healthcare policy regulations, emerging data privacy laws, and other evolving regulatory areas. Prior to joining CORHIO, Annie was a Principal with Squire Patton Boggs, an international law firm. She provided regular legal counsel on data privacy, regulatory compliance, and public policy matters to healthcare clients, including CORHIO. She has a great deal of expertise in navigating HIPAA, HITECH, and 42 CFR Part 2 compliance and is accustomed to negotiating complex data agreements with unique data privacy questions and to devising and executing public policy strategies at the state and federal levels.
Annie has her Bachelor’s degree from Princeton University, her Master’s degree in Bioethics from the University of Pennsylvania, and her Juris Doctorate degree from the University of Colorado School of Law.
