Alexis is a Patient Family Advisor and Engagement Specialist. As a parent of an adolescent with complex medical needs, she has a unique perspective on healthcare delivery and the systems of care available to patients today, especially those with medical complexity. Alexis works with health care systems and research organizations to help them engage with patients and family members while considering their perspectives when planning and implementing health care policies, procedures and research programs. She is an advisor to several national organizations, such as The Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute, and The CMS Person and Family Engagement Network. Alexis has vast experience identifying and resolving health information technology challenges, and represents patients and caregivers on the HITAC of the ONC.
