Anna Gomez

U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy — Senior Advisor for International Information and Communications Policy



Anna Gomez, a former member of the Silicon Flatirons Advisory Board, recently joined the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Cyberspace and Digital Policy to lead U.S. preparations for the International Telecommunication Union World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23). She also serves as a Senior Advisor for International Information and Communications Policy.

Until she retired in July 2022, Anna was a Partner at Wiley Rein, where she specialized in regulatory, policy, and transactional matters related to domestic and international telecommunications and unmanned aircraft systems. Prior to that she served as Deputy Assistant Secretary for Communications and Information for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration of the U.S. Department of Commerce. Anna was previously Vice President, Government Affairs at Sprint Nextel, and prior to that served for 12 years in various management positions at the Federal Communications Commission. In addition, Anna was Deputy Chief of Staff in the National Economic Council during the Clinton Administration; Staff Counsel in the U.S. Senate for the Subcommittee on Communication, Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation; and an associate at the law firm of Arnold & Porter.
