Please join us on March 18, 2009 as the Silicon Flatirons Center presents Andrew MacFarlane, Chairman and Chief Product Officer of Buzzwire as our featured entrepreneur in our Entrepreneurs Unplugged series. Mr. MacFarlane is a pioneer in internet and mobile communications. This event is open to the public and will be held in a large seminar room setting in the Engineering Building. Networking will begin at 6pm, and the event will begin at 6:30pm.

Entrepreneurs Unplugged is a meeting place where faculty, students and community members with technical backgrounds learn about and get involved in entrepreneurship. In particular, the program offers students and faculty an opportunity to learn how a successful start up is created as well as an opportunity to network. Each Entrepreneurs Unplugged meeting features food, drink and – most importantly – an experienced entrepreneur to discuss his/her start-up experiences.

Chairman and Chief Product Officer of Buzzwire

As a pioneer in internet and mobile communications, Andrew MacFarlane brings 15 years of experience to his role as Co-Founder and CEO of Buzzwire. Formerly Co-Founder of Software.com, MacFarlane helped grow the company from inception to IPO. MacFarlane also played a key role in bringing Software.com and Phone.com together to form Openwave in 2000, where he served as Vice President and General Manager.
